The second trailer for Project Hail Mary, an upcoming film by Amazon MGM Studios. In this movie, science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.
Project Hail Mary is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with a screenplay by Drew Goodard, and based on the novel by Andy Weir (The Martian). In addition to Ryan Gosling, the cast includes Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, and Milana Vayntru.
Project Hail Mary hits theaters on March 20, 2026 and looks to be a blockbuster for next year. After seeing this trailer, I am even more excited to see the full film next year.
