Keep Your Spine Healthy With the Premium Back Support Ergo Chair From FlexiSpot

Last year, I reviewed the C7 Premium Ergonomic Office Chair, which was at the time the best ergonomic office chair that FlexiSpot offered. Since then, I’ve suffered some back problems (unrelated to the C7), and so when FlexiSpot recently offered to have me review their new premium chair, I was more than happy to oblige.

What Is the Premium Back Support Ergo Chair (C7 Morpher)?

The Premium Back Support Ergo Chair, also known as the C7 Morpher, is the latest ergonomic office chair from FlexiSpot. It can accommodate individuals from 5’6″ to 6’7″, weighing up to 380 lbs. The chair is only available in black, but you can choose either a foam or mesh seat, and a pull-out footrest is an optional purchase.

Prices start at $899.99, but at the time of this writing, you can purchase the C7 Morpher for $649.99 at the FlexiSpot website.

Assembling the Premium Back Support Ergo Chair (C7 Morpher)

As I’ve come to expect with FlexiSpot products, everything was immaculately packed for shipping, to provide protection for the chair’s parts as well as ease of assembly.

Assembly is pretty standard for an office chair. A kit is included which has all the hardware encased in foam, and includes a pair of white gloves so that you can handle the chrome parts of the chair without leaving any fingerprints.

Assembly of the chair took around 15 minutes. Much like with last year’s C7, the pullout footrest is already incorporated into the chair, making my life much easier.

The final step is attaching the headrest. Here’s a look at the chair from the back, with the headrest attached:

The Premium Back Support Ergo Chair (C7 Morpher) – The Verdict

When I reviewed the original C7 chair, I noted that there were several points of adjustment on the chair to tailor the fit to an individual’s body. Well, the C7 Morpher puts its predecessor to shame when it comes to that. You can adjust the chair seat for the length of your upper legs, making sure that you’re supported and comfortable. The lumbar support can be raised and lowered to fit the curvature of your spine. And speaking of the lumbar support, it can be inflated or deflated to help ease pressure on your lower back.

The Premium Back Support Ergo Chair also has the most adjustable armrests that I’ve found in a chair. You can move them up and down, rotate each one a full 360 degrees, and even move them closer and farther away from your body. While thats great for finding the perfect position for your arms, there’s unfortunately no way to lock in the position (except the height). What that leads to is an almost constant shifting of the armrests whenever you get in and out of the chair. It’s a similar problem to what you find in the original C7, and one that I hope FlexiSpot will someday fix.

Despite that issue, there’s a lot to love about the Premium Back Support Ergo Chair (C7 Morpher). The mesh back will keep your body cool on a warm day, and the recliner function is welcome for taking breaks from work. I’ve been able to dial in the settings on the chair to fit my body well, so that my back always feels supported. And given the name of the chair, one could definitely argue that’s the most important feature.
